Entry Two
After getting up and getting ready and eating, I decided to head out. I suppose I could stay home and not go along with this ridiculous plan, but there’s really not much else to do in this hole-in-the-wall town. Before I left, Mom told me that Dad would be really proud of me for having my own PokeMon and doing well with it. Sure, maybe he will be. Who knows? Not like he’s ever around to notice anything else, anyway.
With that out of the way, Henry and I headed out of town but as soon as we stepped foot on Route 101, guess what happened. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
Yep, May stopped us. Again. Seriously, is the rest of her life this disjointed? Maybe this is why she’s got the mental fortitude of a Rubix Cube. I guess that could come across as a compliment, but it’s really not.
Anyway.
She handed me a PokeNav and a DexNav. Of course, they’d forgotten that I’d need these for my epic adventure. You know, the one that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I hate this town. These people are insane. How do they even function on any kind of normal basis?
Either way, the DexNav is pretty neat, it shows you what PokeMon are in the area. Pretty handy. It also points out if a particular PokeMon in the area has anything special about it. This is something she decided to stop me for again after I thought she’d finally pissed off and decided she’d brought enough idiocy to my day. It’s rare, but sometimes I’m wrong. This was one of those times. Ugh.
When she finally did leave me alone, Henry and I continued on and encountered a Zigzagoon. It decided it had a good enough chance to try and wallop Henry. It was more like a toddler walking into a wall and falling on its ass. On the bright side, we now have a Zigzagoon with us. Her name is SwagBadger. I let Henry decide. I probably won’t do that again. Maybe…
On our way to Oldale Town, a Poochyena tried to jump us but got absolutely flattened. I really like the work these two are doing. They’re a couple of little ass kickers.
After a quick stop by the PokeCenter, we headed to Route 103. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of anywhere to go because it led straight to a stupid river in the way. Can I please just go back to where I came from now? This region sucks.
While we were leaving Route 103, another Poochyena showed up and tried to give us a problem. Trick’s on it, because now it’s part of the party, too. I decided to call her Wade. I guess that’s the end of Route 103 until we can find something that swims, or, at the least, floats. Maybe we can use the hot air in May’s head.
Anyway, it looks like our only option is Route 102. I hear that a ton of trainers gather there, so it sounds like it’ll be a gauntlet for my crew. We’re going to rest up in the PokeCenter for the night and strike out tomorrow to see what kind of damage we can do. So far it seems like the people in the region are absolutely brain dead, but I don’t want to run the risk of one of them making an intelligent mistake and actually beating one of my team.
The Crew
Sorry about this one being a bit late, guys. Like I said earlier, I had some stuff going on and didn’t have time to get this or this week’s review squared away as early as I usually do. The review probably won’t be up tonight, but I’ll be sure to get going tomorrow.
As for the rest of the Nuzlocke, the Crew seems to be slowly gaining some traction. I’m pretty happy with the make up so far. Especially the Zigzagoon, which I have plans for. In my original play through, my Zigzagoon legitimately carried my team like a boss. I’m expecting similar results here. I’m not sold on the Poochyena yet, I’ve never been a huge fan of the species. Anywho, check back Monday when the crew carries on the Route 102 and Petalburg!
Man your priorities are all screwy. Poochyena > Zigzagoon any day of the week.
Intimidate alone makes it better.

Ha! If you think intimidate is terrible, I have already won.
I got through Victory Road last night, but my team needs some more training before I go in for the Elite Four. I’d be devastated if I lost any of them before our battle.

Oh, it’s definitely not, but it won’t have much effect (or shouldn’t) on what I have planned for Charles and his motley crew.
Yea, I’m just now working route 102. I’ve had zero motivation to play Pokemon lately. It just gets me legitimately frustrated. I’ll try to do more tonight.
