I’ll cut to the chase this time: I’ve been doing a nine day stretch at work between two different locations and it’s kept me pretty busy, so I haven’t had much spare time for the blog, games on the list, or much else.
Thankfully, past me did a great job at having a review ready, so tomorrow you guys will get my Bastion review. It’s not an incredibly long review, but I explain why. The down side is that it’s the last review I have tucked away preemptively, which means I have to stop being lazy about reviews! Ah well.
The positive to it is that I have been getting screen caps for a few games on the list. Well, except State of Decay. I didn’t really stop to get screenies from that one, I was having too much fun.
As for the review list, it’s definitely time for an updated one!
- Dead Space
- The Addams Family (SNES)
- Spec Ops: The Line
- Dungeon Fighter Online
- Portal 2
- State of Decay
I really do seem to have a problem with getting away from survival horror games.
There are a few of these I have removed due to last of interest on my part. I don’t want to force out a review on a game I’m not really entertained, or horrified, by. I did that with Bastion and I think the review itself suffered.
This is a hobby. I’m not getting paid for it in anyway and don’t want to force myself through something that I don’t feel I can work with. Some of the games that have been removed are mostly just removed due to the list being daunting to look at (Dead Space 2, 3, and Obscure II). I feel like I set myself a lot of goals that I wasn’t sure I’d have time for.
I was ready to hit the ground running when I knew I’d be able to start writing again, and I did. And nearly tripped and fell right on my face for it.
Anyway, for now I think I’m going to leave the list as it is and just focus on writing about the games that I really want to write about.
I’m happy to say I finally got around to ordering a Summer Nationals 2014 Tour shirt.
I still have a photo of Bad Religion’s setlist somewhere. Got to go with my older brother and we had a blast seeing our favorite bands!
That’s all for now.
You folks have fun, take care, and I’ll see you next time.
