Any of my regular readers know that I hate, HATE Resident Evil 4. If you’re one of the uninitiated, I’ll link my review of it from last year later in this.
That said, it’ll surprise you all to know that I picked up the RE4/5/6 bundle on Steam’s sale and just spent a few minutes toying with RE4, and I never thought I’d say this, but holy shit, it’s playable. It actually plays. Y’know, like a real game. All it took was a control scheme that wasn’t programmed specifically for people with hands made of dog shit. I’m actually excited to dig into the game, so you folks can expect a review for it in the future.
Aside from 4, I haven’t gotten around to messing with 5 or 6 on PC, though I’ve beaten the stuffing out of both on console. I might review 5 again, and go through 6 again to give it a review.
Oh, right, the old review for RE4 can be foundĀ here.
That’s all for now.
You folks have fun, take care, and I’ll see you next time!
I have never heard of anyone hating RE4, I’m gonna have to read this review.

Yea, can’t stand it, and don’t see how people think 5 or 6 is worse. That’s just based on the control scheme alone.

Resident Evil 2 for me is still the best in the series. But strangly I’ve never understood the hate that Resident Evil 5 received. With the exception of setting, its almost the same game. 6 however is dreadful, just beyond heinous.

RE2 is probably my favorite out of the entire series, as well. I really don’t understand the hate either, but I also don’t understand the love for RE4 that most people have.
I liked 6 for a long while as I’d skipped 5 for many years, fearing it was as bad as 4, but was pleasantly surprised by how on point 5 was. These days, I still like 6, but I don’t go out of my way to play it.
